protect, and nourish the acequias in their natural habitat.

Yet, in the local press, DWT is still portrayed as having a
mandate to formalize and "enhance" the local trails.

Disgruntled area politicians are even chiming in with calls to
dissolve the Conservancy because it rejected the proposed
urban trail network. One can only wonder why the
press continues to print their outrageous allegations
without bothering to check the facts or allowing
RGBNA equal time to respond.

do not serve the process or their constituents
well with unsubstantiated claims and rants
against the Conservancy. The simple fact
is the majority of ratepayers did not favor
an urban trail network and the MRGCD
responded accordingly.
The threat of the State interfering with
that decision should give everyone pause.
